Nov 05 2003 what do you do when you are rendering?

this used to be a problem with audio.. i remember the days when i would leave a piece of CSound compiling over night to hear it in the morning..

now i'm compiling some DV for a client.. and thank god computers are faster.. but it still take a couple of hours for a complicated render.. .. once a while back with after effect 3 i waited 7 days for 2 minutes. hahaha..

so.. what to do while i wait for this render to finish???

when i was a junior in college, one of the seniors came into the computer lab, booted me off my machine saying "i just need this for a second" and proceeded to render out a director file that ran for the next 12 hours. funny, he disappeared a while back...
