Dec 05 2003 all my toys came today.. i'm a little excited...
too excited... i think i need a wet nap.

so i'm building another computer.
(yes i know i don't need anymore)

i couldn't resist, i was given a spanking brand new mobo and vid card.. so i had to build it.

P4 3ghz with the hyper threads
1GB PC3500 CL2 DDR
2x 160GB seagate 7200.7
all super quiet fans..
the zalman HSF is just beautiful.
i almost cried:

oh, I was thinking of buying one of those zalman processer fans...

is it really quiet
I bought the zalman power supply to keep my pc quiet
then the intel processer fan came with the p4 2.4c
it is almost screaming

I want the zalman silence in my processer too

so... should I just go and buy one tomorrow (it will take a while untill they bring it to france from korea anyway.)

my 'old' computer is a amd XP 2100+ with the same ram specs and hard drive specs... and i never ran into the perf wall (even tho i do all my synthesis inside the computer)

this is just masterbation anymore..

and disastrato:
yeah its super quiet because you can turn down the RPMs really low... i have the zalman power supply too with adjustable fan speed... i just keep my system temps at the upper range of safe, just so i can be as quiet as possible.

well hyperthreading is just faking out the apps that there is two procs.. so if you're app is dual proc freindly it might be worth the try.

i'm gonna try it.

i use cubaseSX which when i used cubase 5 with my dually P3 system, there was a very nice boost. but apps like reaktor hated the dual proc.. so well see..
