wow
- i used to have one of those babies! i bought it new in 1989 for
$4300!!!! it was monster, but was very, very clean. no regrets!
well, ok, a little regret. when i decided to ditch all my hardware and
go "soft", i traded it in at sam ash on 48th street. everybody was
kinda gawking, like it was a museum piece, and they weren't even going
to take itd because it was so "old school". but they said they'd give
me 400 bucks, and i needed the space in my apartment, so i said "ok",
feeling like i was making the biggest mistake. i mean, talk about
depreciation!
so after all of their guff about how they'd probably never be able to
get rid of it, i went back to the store to cash in my "credit", and the
damn thing was gone! they sold it inside of 4 days.
damn, i loved that ol' thang. and it sure impressed the ladies.
