nick origin It was just GEAR for a while, but there were too many bad cover bands playing at hotels near the interstate by that name, and everyone seemed to think that GEAR was some sort of cog or something. GEAR was named because GEAR had more gear than talent.

Geargasm, as it was later named, isn't just me (Mike D), there's also another member of the supergroup who tends not to do a lot of work (any), but its his group too. We thought of some other names first, like Gearwhore, but that's already taken by an excellent astralwerks artist.
