If only I sported baseball caps and big pants I'd be doing that repetitious 'swiping my hand across the bill' move along with the 'pseudo-Cossack folk dance foot shuffling' move.
What I dig about this choon is that I can barely pick out the original samples in it at all. A+++
man, what was up with all that noisey stuff in there?
it reminded me of this record that I was playing today "klute - commercial suicide", I think the b side is fucked up, because every so often there are some really nasty noise things like the vinyl got really scratched.
i think 6MB in EMFS equals about 5.7MB in the real world.
You got the DNB bass drop down pat. I'll join Baddd in the hat brim dance in the morning as soon as I can crank the subwoofer up. Nice work with the hard-hitting hi-hats too, mang. You nailed the genre.
Hard core DnB kids probably wouldn't go for the beat-less ambient break... quit trying to be all artsy, you nerd. Gawd. Nice work on the compression... loud without the pumping or complete loss of dynamics.
I like your experimentation in the mixits. Don't stop.

foook i know! DAM U COMPUTERS.
the main beat IMO is too stiff or something. i like the drum fill at the end of the phrase tho.. thats my fav part.
kontakt2 made most of the sounds, the bass, the pads and shit.
i think the bass is too wide too, too much chorus.. it makes it sound weird sometimes.. but it gives room for the drums, cuz if the bass was dead center.. there would be no kick drum..
fuck it.. it would be mono on a PA anyway, and then the bass goes away in MONO..
This is sweet. I forgot about how fun DnB is. Thanks. The bass is hardcore to the cardhore. I don't think the bass is too wide, I think rather that the drums could use a bit of panning. Or at least the high bits. Right about the PA situation, though. One of the things I have done with drum n bass where the bass and drum interfere is have a sidechained compressor on the bass, when the drum hits, it lowers the bass. another thing I did was automate it so that when the kick hits, the bass is panned left, next kick, right. However, you did this much better than I could have. Also, it is loud. :D
Ha! Never seen those dogs of mine do a twostep before. Just dancing madly around the room wailing, leaving clawmarks on the wallpaper - With an odd smile. Guess I should run out and get one..uhm..make that four, heavyass subs, string some camo nets up and call the rodent king. Mean bass is doubleplus-ace.
really reminds me of the old Metalheadz sound. like Lemon D or Dillinja. definately Dillinja style bass. It has that positive 'roller' vibe going on that all that lot were well into. i can hear a bit of technical itch influence there too. quality breaks man. cool 'dancing' vocal samples too. like an up-market ray keith tune.
production wise i thought it was spot on. the bigger, fiercer bass is definately too wide to have any real impact but thats not necessarily a bad thing as it does a good job or 'surrounding' you which all the greatest jungle tunes do imo.
the ending didnt really work out too well for me. would have liked to groove to resolve itself rather than beat itself up. still. nice to hear some old school rolling jungle from the other side of the pond. thanks for that.
man the bass is supadope
and I like how sometimes strange noises cut out in a classy way the d'n'b beatzzzz
but I agree with you the beat is stiff or something and in the end is repetitive, or maybe the sounds you're layiering are not that stimulating for me.
quite odd, while listening I didn't thought of you, but now I know, I should have recognize you from the bass sound
I like the quiet ending
