jdg, really impressive track and interesting universe you open up.I thought that some of the sounds were distorted/clipped - particularly initially - if that was due to my headphones or your intentions, I apologize (damn, its wierd doing this rating thing because the whole thing is so subjective, eh?). Having worked the same samples, I thought that where you went with them was outstanding and that the "tone" was maintained throughout. Really cool study.  

I expected more aliasing from your title. I like the contrast to the crackly, short sounds versus the really long smooth tones... like little wombats playing alongside a giant beached squid.

PS, are those boobs I see under that tight shirt, or extra-large ribs? Send her some tarts, stat! And him too, just to make us look better in comparison.

i used my timestretching algos i'm workign on.

the goal is to make a pad out of ANYTHING but modulating grain size and avoid the actuall sound of the windowing that everyone hates.. "aliasing"

I think you did a good job with timestrech but I think most of those type of sounds have been over used. But it was nice soundscape piece that was relatively dry which is impressive.

it works ok.

working on it in max.. more controll.

i might bit by bit make my own grain thingy in reaktor but it will use almost all cpu tho.. since its very ineffecent the way it is now.

You got that style nailed down. Great work. I guess I would have liked the ending to be more pronounced. Its almost like it was cut off. Great track.
