first mixit.
had a tuff time with the rhythm track very challenging indeed.
drums: i used a chopped up, delayd to hell sample from bogsnarth layered with compressed to hell version of the same rhythm.
the SFX are the other samples all run through kontakt time stretching and compressing to a LFO.
the pads where RFs rhodes chord run through reaktor. the pad with the piano is my sample run through reaktor, then all mixed in cubaseSX and mastered with ozone2 in sound forge.
enjoy
i have problems with raiting.
this has stepped through my speakers and came into my flat.
wasn`t it your sample which you highlighted so perfect in the last third of the track?
it is like when you have lost too much blood indeed. so great!

nice one j- i really enjoyed all the sweepy pads and the reverbs are really tasteful. nice mix too- i never have the restraint required to keep the drums backed off so that the pads and other tonal stuff can come through.
what does it mean to 'compress to a lfo'?

th short fade out time at the ending keeps your track free of clichees.
very accurate one.

thx
i think i need to go remix (the low end don't come through well on other speakers)
what i meant was time compress to the LFO.. in kontakt i set the time stretch parameter to a sine wav LFO

i really like the end with the piano sample used. reminds me of the movie Flash Gorden for some reason, heh.

Good production. Even with all the uneven beats it all felt synchopated and in context with the ambient theme. Great dynamics too - perhaps get even softer volume in some sections. As has been said before, the reverbs and delays worked nicely, with only some subjective observations on dry/wet settings - I think some stuff could've been more wet. No matter, a most excellent piece you've got here.

liked it a lot . . . nice textures, tonal balance, great full sound, tasty perc/drums and a good sense of detail to maintain attention.
as much as i love that piano sample (it was the inspirational basis for my track), it sounds a little forced here for some reason . . . maybe cause the whole groove just stops and yields entirely to that sample . . . maybe keep part of the groove going. hmmm. 'course i can understand your rationale for doing what you did . . .just my knee-jerk reaction i s'pose.
great mood, great job.

nice ambient-dub track. but sounds like the track doesn't go anywhere to me. it remains mid-hair, never landing or leaving. it makes me anxious. and then it finishes too abruptly.

thx for the feedback.. this track doesn't satisify me 100% either.. i got a new version with my more tradition breakbeat feelings..

This had me drifting round for a while. Love the washed pads and the general texture to the piece.

i thought it was good- excellent mix and use of the stereo space etc. i did find the pads to be a bit overbearing at times though.

Well I enjoyed it. Kinda like a dream sequence where nothing is making much sense really, but in the dream it seems to be perfecly normal. Then you wake up and try to figure out what the dream was about but it had drifted away, yet you're left with a warm fuzzy.
