rev .5 of this song:
link
i removed the wank guitar completely.
there would be no wank guitar on a sound track.
added some changes and dramatic etcetras
this track has been practice for me getting back into making music after not really having anytime since nov..
thats why its called angle food.. cuz as a baker.. you seperate the whites alot from the egg.. and you end up with lots of egg whites.
so what can you make? angle food cake.
suggestions welcome as it has .5 more revs to go before i'm done remembering how to make music with software.
p.s.
fuck you i can't spell
Daaaaaaaaaamn this sounds goooood! Sharp as... well I guess as a Samurai sword. Everything just sounds perfect. The horns...... where did they come from? Certainly not sampled...? The percussion and drum work is frigging totally inspiring. The structure is challenging and surprising, the strings sound very natural, actually, everything is just digital enough to, again, sound really sharp edged. The keys...

!!!
How again did you do this? My only suggestion.... contact Addi, his ex-girlfriend has an AWESOME, strong natural voice. Some kind of voice would be very nice. If not a woman's voice, perhaps some kind of solo instrument.
Great work!

thx fredo :D right b4 bed.
i had flute in there for a while.. but the it sounded awful
i dunno how i did it.
the horns are multisamples.
they are really ruff so they sound 'natural'
the samples are very human.. that helps
keys are lounge lizard heart
strings are halion strings
this is an un-'mastered' version.
i would probably warm it up to take that digital edge off a bit on the final mix final mix.
but you like that.. maybe it stays
who is addi?

made me want to score some blow and bang some hookers. stanky, curtis mayfield type shit. loverly string work and keys. the guitar is cool -- wank factor is still turned up tho. neil schon in santana afro wank. i wanted one more section/key change at the end to raise the tension before the crash fade out. and a different mix on the drums - either heighten the cutup dnb vibe or smooth them out.
masterful. this smolders.

great track (like I said before)! it seems to miss some frequencies around 80 hZ, a little punch in the bassdrum would help soundwise. this is what my Triple-P nearfields and DIGIcheck is telling me.
oh oeps... new breaks. wow, great version!!! ya man!
by the way, what did you use for drums? that Spectrathingy again?

new variations (in reference to v.2) lots of sonic ear candy... this kept my interest alot more then 2.
your sounds are reallllllly nice / thanks for sharing the process.
very soundtrackish.
only thing id suggest is to make that final stab at least 3x as long... and diffuse slowly.
maybe some swords crashing together?

I love the 70's funk thing!Nice sounding production too!

nice beat programming, particularly some of the fancy fills. i like the a 'STRINGS OF FEAR' type sound. woah! the stab with the sudden end was surprising! (keys sound lovely mm)

WOW! Multisample!! That is a great multisample and your programming of it is amazing! Specifically which one?

i don't know what to say that hasn't been said yet
the sound is so clean and sharp. the horns and the keyboard and the drums all sound so good. plus the composition itself. nice work.

ok pump up the bump
ending is ass.
i worked on the ending alot.. this was the 'fuck it' solution.
i'll put more effort.
@fredo.
i donot remember.. so many samples............

Sounds amazing!! Definitely captured the whole Samurai Sunday feel..The production is also perfect..I really need to get better at mixing..bah.
If you need better multisample horns, let me know. I think all the sounds definitely sound realistic enough..I know the pains all too well of crappy emulated samples, especially horns are the toughest to capture.
