your email inbox:
sort by? date?
newest on top or bottom?
one giant inbox? or subfolders?
spam?
me:
sort by date, inbox: newest on bottom
(except in subfolders where newest is on top (weird i know))
inbox is where 'to do' and to be replied to stuff is.
once done, i move to correct subfolder.
also, 500spams daily
yeah, my panicnow account (aviola.com) is flooded. guess it's contagious! aslo newest: top

sort by date, newest on top. highlight that one cute, smart, way too young for me girl's emails in red. sub folder for csound and csound tekno maling lists, sub folder for ardour maling list. subfolder for spam. at most i would guess ten 419 spams, no viagra, et cetera stuff.
hotmail address bombarded with spam. but i don't really use it for much else than a generic email address that really works. you know, to keep spam out of my real email inbox.
yahoo address for yahoo groups. not a whole lot of spam in there.
and i like that you said "picnicNow." you think about food alot.

i use gmail. things are filtered into folders automatically. everything except the MAX/MSP and CEC list goes to the inbox in order, newest to oldest. i have somewhere around 2000 unread messages in my inbox.

I am your brother in mail sorting.
Otherwise I'd get excited about the new stuff and forget about the old.

gmail -- 800 unread messages from CEC List, the ESRI list, and the PD List. No filters.
I have a work email address, but gmail is more reliable than Exchange/Outlook...

you are all insane.
i haven't had more than 70 emails in my in box in 5 years. and most of them were things i had to hold on to for a while because i needed them for whatever reason. i average 30 emails in my inbox for the week. i dont get emails from the groups i'm sbscribed to.. if just browse the messages on line at my leisure.
