your email inbox:
sort by? date?
newest on top or bottom?
one giant inbox? or subfolders?
spam?

me:
sort by date, inbox: newest on bottom
(except in subfolders where newest is on top (weird i know))
inbox is where 'to do' and to be replied to stuff is.
once done, i move to correct subfolder.

also, 500spams daily

gmail filter whore
each user list i subscribe to gets filtered accodring to the list tag [list name] that's in the email subject. emails from the lists are immediately archived and put into their respective folders, and gmail tells me if i have new emails from any of the lists. all other emails go right into the inbox, newest on top. everything in its place automatically.

i don't know what you peoples do to get so much spam but i barely ever get any.

Sort by date, newest on top; labels applied to non-personal emails such as jobs, professional association lists etc.

I have somehow successfully avoided spam my entire emailing career, I have no idea how. Except in the last few days I keep getting like 4-5 a day from "Credit Union" (lol) and it says "immediate action required! please visit [link] and update all your personal information so we can update your account." (lol) It is just screaming S-P-A-M or stfu.

Sort by date. Newest at top.

@work: Subfolders. One for each currently active project and one archive for finished projects' folders. Inbox gets everything else. No spam.

@home: One big messy inbox.

My yahoo account gets spam but that's cause I use it to get cheap viagra.
