what's with the jug/kazoo hating? i think they're the greatest instruments ever! Just listen to memphis jug band, or cannon's jug stompers!  

i think the clarinet is stupid. it has hardly any variation, it's always exactly the same ooooo sound. makes me angry!

i am late with my vote for panpipes/flutes, but it can't be repeated too often these instruments are real stinkers.

also, i'd have to say that whatever instrument is played in the presence of hippies becomes the worst instrument ever as long as hippies are present... especially if the hippies are enjoying it.

I second hippies playing anything. I also nominate Jimmy Buffet cover bands.

Every time I see anyone playing one of those keyboards with a shoulder strap I get an impulse to punch them in the face.

But, as far as overall sound goes, I personally dislike the french horn. That's just me.  

I love that survey. Has anyone heard their song with the Tuba/Opera Singer/Country song with a hiphop influence? Very strange.

No instrument is inherently bad. Kenny G gave the soprano a bad name, for sure. But after hearing the soundtrack to "Picnic at Hanging Rock" (with pan flute by Zamfir), I have a soft spot for pan flutes.

Okay, maybe the Psychedelic Jews Harp is inherently awful, IMHO. link

Soprano Saw fuckin SUX NUTZ. I'll have to add Alto as well, because most people suck ass on those too. Baritones have potential to be cool if played well.
