just ran some simple tests and ran the MD5 sum on them.
1. just bounced the a small audio file with nothing:
5c5b39921bfaf6ea28e2480af371f9da
2. ozone3 loaded, but bypassed in cubase:
5c5b39921bfaf6ea28e2480af371f9da
3. ozone3 loaded but disabled in cubase:
5c5b39921bfaf6ea28e2480af371f9da
so far so good... cubase actually bypasses the effect, and leaves the audio untouched:
5. ozone3 loaded but no modules turned on:
b48a74dd05fdd31d7b219474fc74cb58
6. ozone3 loaded, EQ module turned on only:
b48a74dd05fdd31d7b219474fc74cb58
7. ozone3 dynamics turned on only:
6d9371061ae137ce5da5fa3c74f9beba
8. ozone3 interal bypass button:
b48a74dd05fdd31d7b219474fc74cb58
OK.. so this to me proves at least one thing my ears have been telling me. that dynamics module sounds weird!!
i never use it.. it makes stuff sound wrong (at least to me)! (especially to the stereo image!)
but, it makes sense that the other test using ozone give a diff file signature, since it is being changed... but its good to see, that with the EQ on and with the internal ozone bypass its the same. but that dynamics module! arrrghhhh
